KuttyPadam ("we", "our", or "us") is a platform for independent film creators to share short films and receive tips from viewers. Our app and website are available at kuttypadam.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided when you register or sign in with Google.
  • Payment information — when you tip a creator, the transaction is processed by Stripe or PayPal. We store the amount and status of the transaction but do not store your card number or full payment credentials.
  • Creator content — videos and metadata (title, description, language) that creators upload to the platform.
  • Usage logs — basic server-side audit logs (actions performed on your account) used to detect abuse and maintain security.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To process tips and pay out earnings to creators.
  • To display your name on your creator profile.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

  • Google OAuth — for sign-in. Google may collect data per their policy at privacy.google.com.
  • Stripe — for payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
  • PayPal — for payment processing and creator payouts (paypal.com/privacy).
  • Cloudflare R2 — for video storage (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. Payment processing is handled entirely by PCI-compliant third-party providers (Stripe and PayPal).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
